"Sing your Yoga, dance your Yoga!“

Although Yoga and Music/Dance aim to weave their deep essence into the two contrasting but inter-connected directions of Inner and Outer, both initiate their impact from a profound and crucial level: "mindfulness“, prescence, sensitivity in listening and feeling.

In Yoga we let ourselves be moved and breathed into the posture, sensating the practice as meditation, "condensing“ our wings to encounter our Inner. In singing, playing, dancing we weave our melody, gesture, sound from our dynamic inner life into the Outer following the creative impulse to flow out, letting our wings expand in performing the dance or song. In doing so, we get into contact with ourselves, enrich our inner life more and more and create from this deep feeling of connection the new creative impulse.

"Sing your Yoga, dance your Yoga!“ means, that we initiate music and dance as two ways of artistic self-expression from moving principles of Yoga: Turning towards the breath is related from the very beginning with yielding to the earth, giving weight into the supporting ground and experiencing at the same time a rebounding energy streaming upwards through the body structures. Objects like bean bags, swung in a figure eight from one hand into the other, facilitate the experience of the dynamic drive of the body center, the realtionship of body parts and connecting lines through the whole body. The swinging rhythm, performed with hands and feet, originating in the body center, leads naturally into a song, body percussion pattern, drum beat, dancing step, relationship to partner and group. Joy and harmony can be felt, as the expression arises from basic body and movement principles everybody can connect to, independent of previous music and dance experience.
